The North Face Furallure Down Jacket - Women's

I'm short (5'2") and 115 lbs. and it fits me pretty damn good. When they warn you it is short though, beware...it is! It could use at least another 2 inches on the bottom in my opinion. But it's very cute, very warm, and I love it so far! I searched the net high and low for the perfect jacket, and am very happy with my decision in picking this coat.

Shipping was lightning fast and the jacket was super cheap. In a good way. I live in Northern MN and it keeps me toasty warm. It's only October so it hasn't been that cold, but I'm sure I'll be fine in Jan. I got a Medium and I'm glad I did, it's not too snug but it is on the short side, so a longer sweatshirt underneath and it's perfect. I wanted a practical jacket to keep me warm that was cute as well, and this does the trick.

I just got my jacket today and I love it! I got the purple in large and the fit is perfect. I honestly don't think it's to short at all, but I am only 5"1. This is the best fitting coat I have ever owned. I am in Montana and it keeps me a perfect temp.

I wouldn't wear this jacket for skiing (agree it runs short). However, it's warm and stylish if you need a coat for wearing around town. I would imagine this would be quite practical for very cold city living (or a mountain town). This would be a terrific gift (assuming you aren't buying this for someone for technical use). All in all the North Face Furallure Jacket was a good purchase..!

SO cute! I'm excited to wear it this winter in my new state of Minnesota. It's very feminine and it's down! Nice combo. I think this is a really good deal and I think the fur hooded jacket style is still going and chick. I'm very happy with my purchase. I got a medium and I am 5'8 and 130 or so pounds. I have a long torso and this jacket is cutting it "close" on shortness, but I like the style a lot. I think small would have been too small and the large too big, but the medium could use another 1/2 inch in length or so because I like to wear my low cut jeans and in -30 you want to be covered. LOVE it so far though. Hope this helps you pick your next coat!

This is a wicked jacket but she's a little short in the body for the snow jacket label. It's really warm jacket and really water resistant my girl loves it.

Well I have yet to enjoy wearing this wonderful jacket in the snowfields thanks to Australia experiencing such late winter snow falls. I have however worn it out and about on the coldest days so far and it was steamy!! I can't wait to wear it on the slopes. On the contrary also to what a lot of people were saying, I found that this jacket had ample room under my arms. But this may be because I read the reviews in detail prior to ordering and went up a size to what I would normally wear. This has benefited me in two ways: the jacket is perfect lengthwise and around my chest and underarms! I am very happy with this buy!! I was also extremely happy with the price!! : )

I really liked this coat, it is perfect for skiing/winter sports, and the hood is nice and big. However, I got it for cold winters up north (Chicago), so it ended up being too short for that. I exchanged it for a knee-length coat instead.

Great jacket. Very comfortable and it looks great! I use it for skiing and very cold winter days. I would def recommend it!

I like my jacket a lot. Here are the pro's and con's for me. Cons-arms are a little long- but not much of an issue, when you take off the hood, the collar looks goofy...very spread out if you don't have it zipped up all the way and I'm glad I read the reviews and ordered an XL instead of going by the size chart and getting an L as recommended, the lining material looks a little tacky. Pros- arrived on day promised, doedn't make me look fat!, it does cover half my backside, very very warm, looks super cute with the hood attached, color exactly as pictured, awesome pockets, I used the one in the sleeve a lot more than I thought I would Overall, a pretty great jacket!

You guys only focus on one average size for each one. I think you guys should also go waaay more plus size then you guys went. You're biggest size is LX. I don't know if you've heard but plus size women have to keep warm in this freezing weather also.

I love this coat. It looks as good on as it feels. Really high quality. I ended up sending mine back for a larger size, it was pretty short on the length. That would be my only complaint. If you are looking for a new coat, get this one.

I purchased this jacket for myself and I absolutely love it! It is so comfortable and keeps me warm (I live in Western NY) and my roommate wants to buy one for her self too! I will continue to do all my "The North Face" shopping here :)

Jacket was very beautiful, but the fit was a little snug and short waisted for me. I am 5'11 and 148 pounds and I had to keep pulling the jacket down at the waist. I loved the faux fur hood, but I think jacket might be made for shorter women.

I just received my Furallure Down Jacket today, and I was not pleased with it. First of all, it was my size, but it was way tooooo short. My boyfriend hated it, LOL. He said it's not meant for tall people. I didn't like the fact that it was short and that was the first thing I noticed about the jacket. If you are thinking about this type of jacket, please check out the length of the coat and make sure it meets your expectations. I immediately went to the post office and sent it back for refund.

I purchased The North Face Furallure jacket so that I could stay warm on Montana's slopes, and it succeeded! That is definitely the positive aspect of this jacket, however, I have a few issues with the quality of the materials used. After just a couple of wearings, I started to notice the fabric snagged very easily and began to pucker. I don't know what caused this to happen, but if it can't stand up to a few trips to my favorite ski area, then I don't want it! I have since decided to return the jacket for fear that the snags will develop into tears (as that it how it appears to me), and I really don't want to have to use duck tape to seal up those future tears. I am very disappointed with the quality of the fabric The North Face chose for this jacket; it is not very durable in my opinion. Also, many others have complained about the jacket riding up since it is not as long as traditional ski jackets. I found that to be true, too, but I was able to live with it. Finally, I should mention that the sleeves seem very long. I am 5'8", average weight, and have fairly long arms, so I decided to go with a medium. If I were just exchanging it, I would get a small instead, with the hope that the sleeves would be a good inch shorter. Otherwise...warm as can be!

I am a UK size 10-12 (US 6-8) so bought the size medium in brown - the fit is great, apart from being a couple of inches too short so I keep having to constantly pull it down. Can't help thinking its gonna be cold when the snow inevitably gets in! The colour is fab, and the material is nice, but a lot shinier than it looks in the picture. Also the ribbed bit at the bottom is not connected to the down bit which helps the hang of the jacket, but is a bit odd! The jacket does look good with jeans and even heels though which is a real plus!

i absolutely love this jacket. I used to have the nuptse and had to buy a new jacket because someone stole it. I bought this jacket as a replacement and it is just as warm as the nuptse but much much cuter! so happy with my purchase.

I love this coat!! It is really warm and good with the wind. The hood is really comfy and I like that it is detachable. The only thing I would change on it is I would make it a little longer. I am pretty tall so it may just be me! I also like the extra arm pocket and ipod pocket. Really warm for walking to school in the cold but then it doesn't get hot if I want to wear it inside...weird! I recommend it..I looked for days and am glad I went with this one.

This is a great coat. I wore it to the Harbin ice festival in the far north of China and it kept me nice and warm during the well-below zero ice festival (a must see). I also love the way it looks. I highly recommend it.

This jacket is WONDERFUL. At first, i didn't think it was entirely my style, but after trying it on and realizing that i could take the fur AND the hood off, it really can accommodate itself to however you are feeling. it is extremely temperature efficient - meaning that in cold weather it is warm and in warm weather it's not too warm. I come from the east coast and this year it's been warm, so it has been fine to just wear around unzipped. but i also went to Park City, Utah for a week to snowboard and it exceeded my expectations in terms of warmth, versatility, and convenience. only problems are 1)i think i should have ordered a size smaller. but even with the extra room, it's warm enough. and 2) everyone on campus got the same one over break so i'm very mainstream now. :D

I love this jacket, I can walk through the freezing cold to class and not feel a thing! When zipped up fully, the front of the jacket rises just below the nose, perfect for blocking the cold and the snow! And of course, its super cute =)

Jacket is designed well. I am impressed. It looks great, feels great, and functions great. I wear this jacket all the time. I wore it snowboarding. It kept me warm and happy all day. It's been 35 in the mornings where I work, and I've been wearing it to the office nowadays as well. Jacket is very versatile in black. I can wear it in all situations, and with everything I own -- from my jeans to my work skirts/slacks.

I bought this jacket for my wife as a surprise gift. She loves the jacket. It is very feminine (show curves) and it keeps her WARM. It has a decent wind / weatherproof exterior shell to protect from the elements. In my opinion the jacket is a little short, but I guess that is the style for women.

I traveled from California to South Korea during for the entire winter of '05. This beautiful jacket kept me warm through that harsh winter! Keep in mind that I had to walk everywhere I went. This head turner also got me compliments wherever I went!

I just received my jacket and I absolutely love it! I bought the black one and it is just so cute and stylish. It isn't bulky, yet it keeps me warm. I tried it on w/ my snowboarding pants and my regular jeans and it looks absolutely cute. I like the faux fur and the fact that you can also tuck it in your hood if you're not a big fan of it. I also like the pocket on the lower left-hand side of the sleeve. You'll love this jacket - I highly recommend it!

I purchased the Furallure Jacket originally in an XS because I am a size 2, but that was way too tiny, so I exchanged for S and that worked out wonderfully. One of the best features is that it's waterproof, which will help keep you dry and warm.

I purchased this jacket for my daughter for her birthday. The quality is great and my daughter said it is really warm - perfect for our Chicago winters!

I originally considered getting this jacket for technical pursuits--skiing, riding, etc. But then when it arrived, I quickly determined that it is much better suited to the technical walking down Main St. Park City during Sundance. Its definitely warm, very sleek fitting (I have a North Face shell size Med. But got this in a Large) and like someone else mentioned, does ride up slightly sometimes. The picture doesn't show it exactly, but the ribbed part isn't connected to the bottom of the down part; its connected slightly above so it doesn't poof out funny. I still love it, I just had to acknowledge its real purpose: Looking cool.

After searching for a thick, brown jacket, this one meets my needs. It's as warm as the Nuptse but not as puffy. The hood is a little annoying when you're not wearing it. Basically, as you run, expect the hood to swing side to side, over your shoulders and back. The collar was surprisingly bigger than I imagined. It is probably the ugliest thing on there. However, that said, overall, I think this is a cute jacket and for the price, I'm definitely not returning it.

I don't ski (yet), but I go to school out in Oregon, and I was so tired of being wind whipped and freezing every winter. I am so incredibly warm and comfortable in my new coat. Plus, I get tons of compliments:) It was worth every penny, and now I have a great excuse to learn to ski finally!

I bought this jacket for my wife and she loves it. It looks great and keeps her nice and warm. It's a little heavy for backpacking but not too bad, but the water-resistance more than makes up for it. All in all, a great jacket

Bought this jacket in brown for my daughter for Xmas. The jacket however was beautiful! Very warm while not being too "puffy", covered the backside even though it's a short jacket, beautifully constructed.
