Scott Santiago Mission Alpine Ski

Ride piste and powder with equal ease on the all-mountain Scott Santiago Mission Alpine Ski. The mid-fat Mission has yet to hit snow conditions it can't handle. A wide tip with Scott's Pro Tip progression enables this ski to float in fresh snow, while a mid-fat waist and advanced dual-radius sidecut carve up hardpack like buttah.

Bottom Line: All-day versatility and a sidecut that will carry you from coast to coast.

Awesome

My first day on these skis was at Alta with about 7 inches of the fresh stuff. From my first run tracking my own lines to the last run with most of the hill carved up the Mission’s floated effortlessly. Even without new snow, these sticks were a lot of fun all over the hill. The graphics are unique, but what’s so wrong with having a little religion while you ski?

I was wondering what the tail looks like on this bad boy. Is anyone skiing this switch? It sounds like a front side killer but it has to ski backwards.

Flag

The tail is slightly raised, but not a twin tip by any means. You would want the scott punisher, almost the same ski, but a twin.

Everything and more

These skis may be the best kept secrets out there! Big props for stability at speed and they hold an edge better than any ski I've ever owned. Wimps need not apply for the Missions, sit back or relax in these bad boys and they will punish you. One popular gripe about them has been lack of performance on east coast hard pack and I didn't really have an issue with that at all. I'm a bigger skier 6'4" 240 and recommend these guys in a huge way to other big, aggressive skiers.

These are the Schnizzle

These skis are the best! They rip on the grom, and tear up the crude. The tail is stiffer than a Karma, and that gives you more control in the crude. The tips are wide, and on a pow' day, it should give you enough float. If you want an all-mountain ski, these are it! I put a Jester binding on them, and they feel bomb-proof!

Worst winter but the best universal ski i had

I tried ski in Japan where i work. My weight 82kg, height 186 cm, the gear - 178cm. I think Mission is a good choice for people who wants to ski off-piste and get a real enjoy of style close to fun-curving. But Mission-ski likes a good speed, to show its ability (especially for curving because of fat waist). I felt myself in safety when gathered speed 83,8 km/h (used GPS). Very stable on ice and like a ship in powdersnow. Recommend

It's like cheating

I skied these all last year as a tele set-up with the Black Diamond 02 binding. They were fabulous. If you stand on them, they'll turn quickly, or you can point 'em and let them fly. They're sweet in powder, crud and corn. I never had a chance to ski them on anything too firm.
